Longtime sales leader concludes a remarkable glass industry career spanning more than four decades
TUKWILA, Wash. — September 21, 2026 — Hartung Glass Industries today announced that Bob Cummings will retire on September 25, 2026, concluding an outstanding career of more than four decades in the glass industry.
Throughout his career, Cummings has served in nearly every level of sales and executive leadership. He spent multiple chapters of his career with Hartung, most recently returning in 2024 to lead and support the company’s sales organization.
“Bob’s contribution to Hartung goes far beyond his extensive industry knowledge and sales experience,” said Nick D. Sciola, CEO “He is a terrific sales leader, but more importantly, he is a person of integrity, faith and dedication who genuinely cares about our employees and customers. Known throughout Hartung for his leadership, strong customer relationships and commitment to developing others, Cummings has made a lasting impact on colleagues and customers across the industry. He is also known for his sense of humor, unwavering loyalty to the Pittsburgh Steelers and preference for salmon whenever it appears on the menu.

Cummings will spend time with customers, colleagues and industry partners at GlassBuild America before his retirement. He will also work closely with Hartung’s team to ensure a smooth transition of current customer opportunities and projects.
